How is your relationship with your co-workers? What do colleges or supervisors say about you?
The relations with co workers are another interesting aspect of the job. There are very few co-workers who do not have any issues with their co workers.
The very problem with work is that the best work is a result of debates, arguments and meetings and finally, the work being actually implemented. Therefore, there are chances that some individuals may not take the debates in the right spirit and may take them too personally.
However, when asked this question, you have to inform the interviewer that you have had your fair share of debates and arguments, but share a cordial relationship with your colleagues. You should also inform them that the debates were for the betterment of the product.
Why did you leave your last job? Why have you been fired?
If you have ever been fired, the company will probably find it out. In case of a lie you lose the job. Therefore, truthful answer is the best way to handle this difficult quest. Explain the situation and your lesson learned.
Have you ever fired anyone? How did it feel?
If you have ever worked at a higher position, you must certainly have had instances where either employee has left you or you have had to let go of employees.
Therefore, such a question is quite normal. You have to tell the interviewer that though you have a strong relation with all your employees and co workers, there are some instances in which you simply cannot help but let the employee leave the company. Also, inform the interviewer that you have always been available and have communications open with all your co workers as well as employees.
Are you happy with your salary so far? What salary do you need or look for?
Finance plays an important role in the profession of a person. There are several people who would not take up a very lucrative job simply because the money is not good. However, the interview is not the best place to talk about whether you are happy with your current salary or not. This does not mean that you have to create a scenario wherein you will never get an increment or a financial reward for your work.
Where do you see yourself ten years from now?
This is not as much of a tricky question as it is a question that wants to find out whether you are serious about a job and whether you are serious about pursuing the career. Make sure that you tell the interviewer only about your immediate goal and at the most what you would like to be working on for the next five years.
