Hello . Welcome all of you to this new lesson. Today we will learn how and when to use two important words that have a useful use in sentences while talking and writing! They both have the same meaning but we use them in two different places! They are (SINCE& FOR)
These two examples will teache us when to use both words:
I have been here SINCE January.
I have been here FOR one month.
Now let us test our understanding with these sentences:
He has been in that chair ...... two hours.
She has been in bed ..... Tuesday.
We have been in this school .......... 1982.
We have been in this class ..... one year.
She has lived here .... twenty years.
She has been in the sea ... half an hour.
The food has been in the cupboard ..... four days.
We have been on the beach ..... two o'clock.
