There are many silent letters in the English ********************************,
& they can cause difficulties for people learning English as a second ********************************.
Silent letters are the letters in words that make no difference
to the sound. So, to put it simply, the letter or letters
in a particular word that are silent, do not appear in the pronunciation of the word. But, they do however, appear in the spelling.



Causes Of Silent Letters :
There are a few reasons why we may have words
that feature silent letters.

1- Historical Change
أن اصوات هذه الاحرف نسيت وسقطت خلال فترة زمنية معينة ولكن الحروف بقيت في الكلمات غير منطوقة.
2- New Letter Added
احتمالية اضافة هذه الاحرف الصامتة لجعل تهجئة الكلمات مشابهة للغة الفرنسية أو الاتينية.
3- Borrowing From Another ********************************
مع انتشار اللغة الانجليزية, تم استعارة الكثير من الكلمات من لغات عدة الى الانجليزية
حيث انتقلت هذه الكلمات ودخلت الى اللغة الانجليزية مع بقاء التهجئة واللفظ من اللغة
المستعار منها الى اللغة الانجليزية وبسبب اختلاف النظام الصوتي بين اللغتين ووجدت هذه الاحرف الصامتة .
